About me

A warm welcome to my profile.
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist (level 8) with a doctorate in Counselling Psychology, very near completion. I create a supportive, safe, caring space where you can explore challenges and work towards meaningful change. My integrative approach draws on existential therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and psychoanalysis.
Therapy for Young People aged 12 and over.
I have extensive experience working with children and young people, including those with special educational needs. I understand that every child is unique, and I aim to create a safe, supportive space where they can feel comfortable being themselves.
I also recognise that starting therapy can feel like a big step, not just for your child, but for you as a parent too. Following your free consultation call, you are warmly invited to join us at the beginning and end of the first session. This helps your child feel more settled and reassured, while giving us time to connect, share any thoughts or concerns, and begin working together to shape meaningful therapeutic goals.
Sessions don’t have to rely on talking alone. Depending on your child’s needs, we may gently include creative methods like art and play, helping them communicate and explore their feelings in a way that feels right for them.
Ongoing communication is an important part of the process. I will keep you regularly updated on your child’s progress, so you feel informed and involved throughout. Where helpful, I am also happy to support communication with GPs, schools, and other professionals involved in your child’s care, at no additional cost, helping to ensure a joined-up, consistent approach.
How many sessions will be needed?
Every child is different, but as a guide, many young people attend around 12–15 sessions. Some may feel ready to finish sooner, while others may benefit from longer-term support.
I understand that therapy is a commitment of both time and finances, so we will regularly review how your child is getting on and whether ongoing sessions feel helpful. This is something we will begin to discuss during the initial consultation and continue to revisit throughout the therapy process.
Adult Therapy:
I support adults with a range of difficulties, including neurodiveristy, anxiety, anger, as well as challenges around self-esteem, confidence, and relationships. I also work with those navigating life transitions, feeling overwhelmed, or working through trauma and bereavement.
My doctoral research focused on bullying and cyberbullying, and I have a particular interest in supporting individuals who have been affected by these experiences, including their longer-term impact on confidence, relationships, and emotional well-being.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no set number of sessions. Our work together is flexible and shaped around your needs, so you feel supported in a way that is right for you. Therefore, I offer short-term therapy or open-ended therapy.
If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, or if what you’re experiencing isn’t listed here, you are very welcome to get in touch. We can explore this together in a supportive and informal way.
