About me

Finding the right therapist can be a little overwhelming and the truth of the matter is, you probably won’t know if they’re a good fit until you meet them. Effective therapy relies on the right relationship between counsellor and client, and as with everyone in life, we're not all likely to have a successful relationship.

It is important that you feel comfortable with me in order for us to successfully collaborate and embark on an exploration of (your)self. For this reason, I offer a free 30 minute video meeting, to get a feel for each other and decide whether we could work together. I recommend that you try to connect to a few different therapists, so that you can get a sense of who might be a good fit for you.

In our work together, we will go at your pace and I’ll support you in connecting more deeply with your thoughts, feelings, body and unconscious processes.
Therapy may take a variety of different paths, such as:

  • Looking at relationships, with those around you and with yourself
  • Exploring the different parts that exist within you and assimilating them
  • Spending time identifying any blocks that might be getting in the way of you doing what you want
  • Noticing bodily sensations and exploring what your body may be communicating
  • Revisiting past experiences to process and be held
  • Identifying patterns, why they exist and where they come from
  • Simply sitting with what’s present in the moment

Any therapeutic techniques that I feel might be beneficial will be discussed, always allowing time for consideration and client autonomy. There is collaboration at the heart of every session and an individualised approach based on your needs.

My approach is holistic - I believe it is important to work with the whole person: the mental, physical, spiritual and social as these all interplay and affect each other. I see my role as facilitating a space for therapy, to aid with a process of self-understanding, self-empowerment and growth.

If you feel we might work well together, please do get in touch and we can explore the possibility further.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), having completed 3.5 years of accredited professional training. My approach is grounded in a Pluralistic model, drawing on Humanistic Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) theories and methods. I also engage in ongoing professional development and regularly attend training across a wide range of mental health topics to ensure my practice remains current and effective.

In a professional capacity, I have worked in an SEN/SEMH school for the last 2.5 years and absolutely love what I do. I am very passionate about making therapy accessible to neurodiverse individuals and I have many ideas about how to adapt sessions for physical/sensory needs. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss how a session could be adapted for your own specific needs.
