About me
Hi, I’m Hannah, a fully qualified, integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, working with adult clients both in-agency and within my own private practice. I am a warm practitioner, aiming to make you feel held and supported at the stage in your life where I find you. I provide a confidential and professional environment, whilst also bringing my authentic self into our therapeutic relationship. It may be short or long term work, either way together we can explore recent issues or try to make sense of more deep seated and recurring feelings.
Why have counselling?
Whilst the reasons people access counselling varies, life’s challenges can leave any one of us feeling overwhelmed at times. Perhaps this is a new feeling that you’ve never experienced before, or a familiar one that you know only too well? Either way therapy can offer the space to release some of this stress, break free from patterns keeping us stuck and gain clarity about what it is we want and need. Developing a greater self-awareness can be life changing, and lead to a more confident and resilient you.
Who can I help?
I am a trauma informed counsellor who can help with a wide range of problems including low mood, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties and loss. I also specialise in counselling women during the life-changing perinatal and postnatal periods. This can include support around infertility, termination, miscarriage, birth trauma, baby loss and a range of post-pregnancy issues, including difficulty adjusting to life as a Mum.
Training, qualifications & experience

As well as my private practice, I also work as a perinatal therapist at an online maternal mental health agency.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) who promote safe, ethical and competent practice.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
