About me
As a qualified person-centred counsellor, I want to create an environment to help you identify the tools you need. I am here to lend a kind and compassionate ear and help you reflect on your experiences and feelings. I offer a non-judgemental, open space for you to discuss your thoughts and feelings and be listened to. Person-centred counselling is all about you being the centre of our work together because you are the expert in your own life, my role is to work alongside you to help you better understand yourself and explore your feelings at your own pace.
Counselling can be an overwhelming experience, especially if it’s your first time, and I want to be there to support you through the first steps or build on what you’ve already developed through previous counselling experiences.
I am a lived experience queer counsellor and can help those in the LGBTQ+ community come to terms with their identity and any challenges they may face. I want to help members of a community that is so important to me by hearing your story and helping you feel seen and accepted. I can also help you navigate complex family relationships and non-traditional romantic and sexual relationships as a non-monogamy and kink-informed practitioner.
I welcome all diversities and want to create a safe space for anyone from any walk of life to experience the therapeutic benefits of being heard.
I am available to contact via email, phone and text and am happy to set up a quick call to understand what you are coming to counselling for, and from there set up a consultation session.
I only have availability to take on online clients.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have completed my diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
