About me
A warm welcome from Edinburgh, Scotland.
My Counselling approach is to work in collaboration with you, and tailor sessions to optimise the therapeutic space, time and effectiveness of our sessions.
My core training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Where appropriate I integrate my training in Person Centred and Psychodynamic approach, also drawing on my Mindfulness and Compassion training; giving a blended approach that aims to offer the best use of therapeutic support, theory and tools.
I offer online and face to face counselling during the day and in the evenings. Initially, I offer a free 30-minute online session to briefly discuss what brings you to therapy and if my approach suits you. Thereafter, weekly sessions are 50 minutes long.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and adhere to their code of ethics. Also registered with ICO for protection of data.
I have experience of working with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, bereavement and all areas of loss, relationships, anger, fear, phobias and spirituality. Working with people aged 16 years old and upwards.
Training, qualifications & experience
Finding huge support for my life in Mindfulness and Compassion practices, I trained as a Mindfulness Teacher with the Mindfulness Association. Then studied Counselling at the University of Edinburgh, ‘A Dialogue between Person Centred and Psychodynamic’ which led to attaining a diploma in CBT with groupwork.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I have a lot of experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety. I offer a combination of talking therapy, breath work and CBT. To assist in building awareness of what is happening for you, steps you can take to support yourself and choice in how you respond. Everyone's experience is unique and we work in collaboration to build a route forward, acknowledging past memory muscle, thoughts and beliefs. My aim is to enable awareness and facilitate choice and change.
