About me

At times, life can feel confusing, heavy, or simply too much to carry alone. You might find yourself searching for understanding, clarity, or just a space to breathe. My aim is to offer that space, a place where you can safely explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.

As an integrative counsellor, I believe there’s no single approach that fits everyone. Each person’s story is unique, and together we’ll find what feels right for you. My way of working is gentle, relational, and collaborative, guided by empathy, respect, and curiosity about your inner world.

Clients often describe our sessions as a space where they can finally be themselves, free from judgment, expectation, or pressure. I value authenticity, warmth, and genuine human connection, and I see therapy as a journey we take together, step by step, towards self-understanding and emotional balance.

  •  I offer therapy sessions in English and Turkish.

Training, qualifications & experience

My journey into counselling began with a deep curiosity about people, why we feel, think, and behave the way we do, and how we find healing through connection. I first studied Psychological Counselling and Guidance in Turkey, and later completed a Master’s degree in Clinical and Health Psychology at Bangor University, Wales.

In 2018, I took part in a Mindfulness training programme at the University of Oxford, which continues to influence the way I work today. Mindfulness has taught me the importance of slowing down, listening deeply, and being fully present, both for myself and for my clients.

I later trained in Integrative Counselling, an approach that allows me to draw from different therapeutic perspectives depending on each person’s needs. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy; instead, I aim to create a space that feels genuine, compassionate, and unique to you.

As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work with adults from a range of cultural backgrounds, both in-person and online, supporting them with issues such as anxiety, self-esteem, loss, relationships, and finding meaning in life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
