About me
I am an integrative psychotherapist in private practice trained in several different types of therapy, enabling me to create bespoke treatments for each client. I practice general psychotherapy but specialise in three areas: therapy for women and their partners suffering PMDD, PME and Severe PMS. Addiction (27 years experience) Relationships (trained in the Developmental Model of Relational Therapy in San Francisco).
I practice in a very discreet and private setting with free on-site parking. I work with clients both in person and online via a specialist high-security system.
Whether we work together in person or online, I provide a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental space in which we collaborate to address whatever issue(s) you are struggling with that bring you to Therapy.
Therapy begins by explaining how it works, my particular approach, boundaries, confidentiality and answering any questions that you have. Then we discuss what brings you to Therapy - I can begin to assess and make a plan for working together. This may range from a short course of counselling to longer term psychotherapy according to your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Masters degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and counselling from The University of Roehampton where my postgraduate research was in PMDD. This is a level 7 postgraduate psychotherapy qualification.
In 2004 I completed a PG Cert in Person-Centred Therapy from the University of East Anglia. This is a level 7 psychotherapy qualification.
In 2021 I was awarded The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy Certification by The Couples Institute, San Francisco. This is a post-graduate level qualification in relationship therapy.
I have worked for Norfolk & Waveny MIND for two years as a psychotherapist.
I worked at Childhood First for one year, studying child psychotherapy.
I have over 25 years of working with addicts, alcoholics and their families. I also work as a therapeutic "sober companion" to support recovery - for example returning from residential treatment, going on holiday, to events and celebrations.
I have worked extensively with horses as a rider/trainer and am qualified as a BHSI, so I have a special interest in working with clients within the Equine Industries.
I also hold further degrees from the London School of Economics and The University of Cambridge.
I regularly attend Conferences and Conventions in the UK and Abroad.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
