About me
Hello. My name is Giuseppe(he/him). The main focus of my work is mens mental health. I work specifically with men because I believe most men put off counselling until they reach crisis point. Admitting you need help is hard, especially when society says you should be strong and not show any weakness.
I work with men in an attempt to rewrite these negative messages, in order to show the positive effects of being vulnerable. Being able to talk about difficult emotions and experiences, allows things to come out slowly. Rather than building everything up and coming out in unhelpful ways.
I offer sessions online, indoors and outdoors in nature. I believe that working outdoors adds a dimension to therapy, that can make the experience easier. Having someone walk beside you outdoors, as opposed to sitting opposite you in a room can lift expectations. Being outdoors and moving through nature helps to stimulate the mind and conversation.
Silence in a room is at times uncomfortable but outdoors is an opportunity to listen to what is happening around you. For men in particular working outdoors can open up what therapy can be and how to act in that environment. If you have bad links with school or the workplace maybe you don’t want to be in another indoor space, when trying to talk about difficult things.
Some of the areas I can help with are: feeling stuck, burnout, procrastination, unhelpful thought patterns, loss, building more rewarding relationships, boundaries, black and white thinking, being more comfortable with yourself and your thoughts. We will work together to normalise what you are experiencing, to make it more manageable and consider healthy ways of moving forward.
I offer a free twenty minute chat to discuss any questions you may have and to see if we would be a good fit to work together. To arrange this please get in touch.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
