About me
If you are here it might be that there is something happening inside you right now.
I'm Giovanni, Psychologist and Psychotherapist. We can try to look at that together.
I firmly believe that the therapeutic relationship is the main vessel of real change. Therapy is a journey to be embarked safely.
We will work together towards your objectives, it doesn't matter how far they seem now.
I am open and every time happy to discuss the way we work together, and I will invite you to share your thought about our work.
I provide psychotherapy for individuals and couples of any age and background.
I have a particular interest in Attachment Theory and Relational Transactional Analysis.
I work especially with:
- Feeling hopeless and stuck
- Anxiety and Generalised Anxiety Disorder
- Panic Disorders
- Relationship issues
- Family Issues and Divorce
- Betrayal
- Anger issues
- Stress
- Depression
- Abuse and Trauma
- Sexuality
- Gender identity
- Eating disorders
- Making sense of what happens or has happened
I subscribe to the Code of Ethics of the HCPC and UKCP, and I am fully covered by Professional Liability Insurance.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an Italian integrative Chartered Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist (HCPC and BPS accredited, UKCP Accredited). I am currently completing additional training in order to become a Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist UKCP accredited.
I have worked with organisations and privately for 10 years, providing specialised and general therapy.
I have worked for years with Autism and Personality Disorders as a Psychologist first, and as a Psychotherapist thereafter. These difficult experiences have given me hard lessons, which I can all boil down to "there no pain that cannot be attended to".
Member organisations
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Psychological Society (BPS)
British Psychological Society

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
