About me
Therapy is a space to slow down and look honestly at what's going on. Taking the step to seek support is not always easy, but if anxiety, low mood, relationship struggles or the weight of past experiences are getting in the way of the life you want, therapy can help you make sense of it... and start to shift it.
I'm Georgina, a BACP registered psychotherapist offering remote sessions. I work with people navigating the pressures of work, relationships, and everything in between.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic methods depending on what you need. Some people want to understand where things started. Others want practical tools for right now. Most want a bit of both, and we work at your pace in a way that actually fits you.
I also offer Christian based therapy for those whose faith is central to their lives and the issues they're bringing to therapy.
I offer a free initial consultation so you can get a feel for how I work before committing to anything.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a PGDip in Counselling & Psychotherapy and have been working in social care for several years.
I also work as a Mental Health Mentor with students at London's top universities. The focus here is on goal setting, discipline and productivity, helping students to thrive in the midst of their difficult circumstances.
Combining empathy and proactivity, I create a non-judgemental space where clients feel comfortable sharing, exploring, and taking small, consistent steps towards meaningful change.
Clients often work with me for:
- Relationship difficulties, ongoing conflict.
- Infidelity
- Current abusive relationships
- Historical abuse
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Low self esteem & insecurities
- Difficulties in their faith
It's often not that straight forward, you may not be able to identify the problem but talking it out can offer clarity and relief.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
