About me

Welcome, I am here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to be able to explore and understand whatever issues you may be facing. I believe nothing is too small or minor to have therapy for, everything is relative, and we all deserve to feel the best we can feel.

I use a few different tools and approaches, collaboratively working with you to reach your goals. Perhaps you want to understand yourself better or are struggling with a relationship or your health. I am here to help you find some answers and work out how to apply any changes that may be helpful. I work online via Zoom or in person, too, at a few locations.

I trained in an integrative approach, meaning therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor our sessions to what I think will work best for you, leaning on different tools and theories. I will be led by you, listening and hearing what is going on for you at this time in your life. Once I know you a little more, I may, for example, suggest we explore an event in the past and see if there is something that could be unlocked or re-framed.

Anxiety, low self-esteem, overthinking, and grief are just some of the areas I work in. Feel free to call me or send me an email, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Training, qualifications & experience

I started my journey with Psychology (BSc) at the University of Exeter, which led on to studying Infancy and Early Childhood Development (MSc) at UCL. I have worked with children and parents for several years, focusing on emotion regulation and enhancing the parent-child relationship. I then went on to complete an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling (BACP Accredited) with Iron Mill College, which included 400 hours of skills, theory, and practice, working both in-person and online, as well as with children and young people.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
