About me

*SPACES AVAILABLE FOR THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN THERAPY ROOM IN SOUTHEND-ON-SEA TOWN CENTRE*

Welcome!

I specialise in working with individuals who are ready to address the lasting effects of trauma, addiction, anxiety, and abuse. These experiences often impact our present relationships and sense of self, but they don't have to define your future.

As an integrative therapist with a core Person-Centred foundation, I offer a style that is both informal and profoundly reflective. I'm here to listen, understand, and provide a consistently gentle presence as you navigate complex feelings and memories. We move at your pace, always ensuring you feel safe and respected.

My goal is your empowerment. The true benefit of working together is moving from a place of survival to one of authenticity and self-leadership. We'll work to increase your self-awareness and define achievable goals that put you firmly in control of your life's direction, allowing your truest self to finally emerge.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

What to Expect From My Practice

A Safe, Gentle, and Informal Space

Starting therapy can feel daunting, but my practice is designed to feel welcoming and low-pressure. You can expect a session that is informal and conversational, moving away from a clinical or intimidating atmosphere. There’s no pressure to perform or know all the answers; simply show up as you are.

Collaboration and Focus

Because my approach is strongly Person-Centred, you are always in the driver's seat. Our work will be collaborative, we explore what's important to you, when it's important to you. I'll offer gentle, reflective insights to help you see patterns and gain clarity, always ensuring we are focused on your journey toward finding your authentic self.

Working Towards Change

Therapy is not just about talking; it's about moving forward. We will work together to define and set achievable goals that resonate with your values. This ensures our time together is purposeful and helps you leave feeling more empowered and capable of making meaningful change in your life.
