Life can be complicated, and sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the path ahead. Maybe you're noticing patterns in your thoughts or relationships that you’d like to change. Perhaps you're navigating anxiety, depression, loss, or life transitions. Whatever you're going through, therapy offers a space to explore your feelings, understand yourself more deeply, and move toward a greater sense of clarity and fulfillment.
Whether you're new to therapy or returning, I’m here to support you in working through challenges at your own pace—without judgment and with compassion.
How I work
My approach combines different forms of counselling and psychotherapy which means you receive personalised therapy that is relevant to you. This integrative method keeps you at the centre and creates a working relationship based on openness, honesty and trust. I will offer you a warm and welcoming space where you can feel safe to share your thoughts and feelings as we explore your challenges together at a pace that suits you.
My Experience
My experience includes supporting individuals facing a wide range of life challenges, including stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, relationship issues, and trauma. Additionally, I have worked with those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves or looking to explore how their past experiences have influenced their present.
Taking the first step
Taking the first step toward seeking support often requires a great deal of courage, and by looking at my profile, you’ve already taken that important initial step. Therapy is a commitment, and to get the most out of the process, regular weekly attendance is recommended, especially in the beginning. Contact me to discuss how I can support you moving forward, or if you have any questions, please do get in touch. I’m here to help you explore your options and find a path that feels right for you.
Location
My dedicated therapy room is situated in the peaceful village of Doveridge, Derbyshire, just a short drive from Uttoxeter and easily accessible from the A50. In addition to in-person sessions, I also offer online therapy for individuals across the UK, making it easy for you to connect from the comfort of your own space.
A bit about me
I previously volunteered at a local counselling service, where I provided therapy to adults from all walks of life. This experience gave me the chance to connect with people facing various challenges, helping me understand the unique journeys that each individual takes.
Before becoming a therapist, I held various roles, from working in HR to childminding. One of my most memorable positions was with a bereavement charity, supporting those who had recently lost a loved one. It was a profoundly rewarding experience that deepened my understanding of the human experience and the importance of emotional support.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
