About me
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or unheard-then I hope we can work together. I am a BACP registered psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor offering a reflective and culturally sensitive space for supporting all adults who want to understand themselves more deeply. My work is grounded in the belief that our early experiences, relationships and unconscious patterns shape how we feel and relate today. I acknowledge how family issues and gender expectations, along with religion, culture and sense of belonging can form how we perceive ourselves and relate to others. I have great insight on how the power of shame, honour, and responsibility can create pressures for individuals to be silenced, people please, be estranged and feel separation anxiety. By exploring and reflecting on experiences both in the past and present, many people find greater clarity and self-compassion, allowing for more meaningful connections and lasting personal growth.
My approach
I work in a thoughtful, and collaborative way, aiming to provide a containing and supportive presence and helping clients explore any difficult feelings around various life challenges. I also support individuals navigating cultural identity, family expectations, migration, race, gender, and emotional conflict that often shows up as anxiety or relationship difficulties. My work is informed by psychodynamic theory and evidence-based practice, and I regularly engage in supervision and ongoing professional development.
How Counselling and Psychotherapy can help you
Counselling and psychotherapy can offer a supportive space to better understand yourself, your emotions, and the patterns that shape your relationships and choices. Over time, therapy can help reduce feelings of distress such as anxiety and depression, improve emotional resilience, and support healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges. By exploring and reflecting on experiences both in the past and present, many people find greater clarity and self-compassion, allowing for more meaningful connections and lasting personal growth.
I am committed to providing a safe environment for individuals seeking mental health support to help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in a confidential setting. I invite you to contact me so we can explore your experiences to bring you clarity and enable emotional stability for long-term change.
What to expect in your first session
In your first counselling session, you can expect a supportive space where we will spend some time getting to understand what has brought you to therapy, any current concerns you may have, and what you hope to achieve from our work together. I will also explain how therapy works, including confidentiality and boundaries, and answer any questions you may have. The first session is a chance to begin building trust and see whether this feels like the right space for you - there is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable to you.
I have always been fascinated by what shapes us as people, what helps us get through life’s challenges and what enables us to thrive. I believe each of us have unique strengths and potential but sometimes through life’s experiences can sometimes become blocked. Through self-awareness and understanding, we can begin to uncover those hidden parts of ourselves.
Finding a way out is by talking a way through.....

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
