About me
If life is feeling overwhelming, or if you feel misunderstood or unheard, I am here to help you.
I understand finding the right person to trust and talk to can feel difficult, but together we can explore your issues, in a safe place where you will be heard fully; and where you will be able to process your thoughts openly without judgement.
As a qualified, BACP Accredited integrative psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor , I draw upon a person-centred, humanistic and psychodynamic approach. This places my client’s best interest first and facilitates the safe and trusted exploration of past conflicts, trauma and struggles that may still be affecting a client’s present world. As each person is unique, I tailor my approach specifically for each client; enabling them to process difficult emotions or issues for improved self-awareness and acceptance. My belief is with the right empathetic support, everyone has the potential to become unstuck and move forward positively to reach their full potential.
Drawing upon my experience of working within NHS Talking Therapies (formally IAPT), in addition to previously managing three large NHS Contracts in the capacity of Head of Counselling for a London Agency, I bring considerable experience of working with a wide range of diverse clients. I embrace inclusivity and diversity, support reducing stigmas and barriers in accessing therapy; and promote high standards of service for improved mental health wellbeing outcomes. .
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified, MBACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor; and an Accredited-Professional member of NCPS.
I support all adults experiencing mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, sexual abuse, addiction, bereavement, low self-esteem, self-identity, cultural issues, postnatal depression and work related stresses.
In addition to my private practice, my experience includes working within NHS Talking Therapies, and managing three NHS Talking Therapies contracts for nearly a six year period as Head of Counselling for a London counselling agency; training and mentoring trainee and qualified therapists whilst providing NHS patients with supportive, evidenced-based therapy for their improved mental health recovery outcomes.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
