Supervision details

As a qualified Clinical Supervisor, I am deeply committed to supporting the growth, confidence, wellbeing and clinical excellence of all the therapists I work with; be it a trainee or if you are already qualified.  For me, supervision is the most effective when it is grounded in safety, guided by theory and ethics, and where our supervisory relationship encourages open collaboration and curiosity together.

My integrative approach in underpinned in psychodynamic and person-centred modalities, where I bring considerable experience working with clients open-ended or within a short term, evidence-based approach. I support many supervisees working within NHS Talking Therapies environments, where evidence-based approaches for recovery outcomes can at times feel more challenging. My supportive space allows therapists to explore their challenges openly, celebrate their successes whilst deepening their clinical skills and professional development.

I value reflective practice and tailor my supervision to each supervisee’s learning style, experience level and goals. I fully embrace being a holding strength and clinical support for any immediate safeguarding or risk issues, and hold certified qualification in Safeguarding All Adults and Children. Within our work together, I always strive to balance guidance and encouragement to promote strong ethical practice and client-centred care; nurturing the supervision process so that it feels empowering, thoughtful and supportive.

Should you be looking for supervision where a tailored approach is adopted for each supervisee’s uniqueness whether in an individual or group setting, then please do contact me.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
