About me
I know it can be difficult taking the first steps to getting help. I want you to know that, whatever feelings you might have, if we can have a conversation, we can start sorting it out.
I work empathically with people from all backgrounds, experiencing difficult feelings and issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, family issues and low self-esteem. These words often fall short of articulating the suffering experienced. I will work to help you feel understood.
By listening to what is going on beneath the surface, I work to gently help you see the obstacles that stop you living life to your fullest potential.
I offer psychodynamic therapy. Part of what I will be listening out for is how your feelings and beliefs about yourself and others are influenced by previous experiences: how the people around you growing up, and your early experiences shaped the way you experience the world now.
I am a BACP registered therapist who has undergone rigourous training in London. Since moving to Kent I practice in-person in Canterbury and Elham, and globally via Zoom and telephone.
I offer both short-term and open-ended counselling and psychotherapy, depending on your needs.
My clinical experience includes working at London's longest serving counselling provider- Highgate Counselling Centre, and for the NHS. I have taught counselling at The City Literary Institute, Holborn. For many years I trained Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office staff, including Ambassadors and Heads of Missions, to assist British Nationals in crisis situations.
All enquiries will be responded to promptly. All communication is confidential.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
