About me

Do you feel disconnected... from yourself, from the people closest to you, or from a sense of where your life is going? Are you exhausted from holding everything together, or quietly aware that something needs to shift, even if you can't say what? Have you tried to work through it alone, or tried therapy before and found it didn't quite fit?

Life rarely follows the script we imagine. The business of being human is often messy and difficult, and can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply stuck. Whatever you're facing you don't have to navigate it alone.

I'm Freya, an integrative psychotherapist working with adults in South West London and online. I provide support that is both compassionate and empowering, within a real, human relationship. Therapy with me goes beyond clichés and scripted responses - it's about genuine connections and finding a way forward together.

Together we will create a collaborative, safe, holding space where you can process your experiences, re-evaluate patterns, and renegotiate the relationships you have with yourself, others, and the broader world.

Who I work with: I work with adults facing a wide range of life challenges, from general unease to the processing of past trauma. Whatever brings you here, I welcome the chance to get to know you and really understand what's going on for you.

My approach: I weave together insights from relational psychoanalysis, attachment theory, and contemporary neuroscience but hold this knowledge lightly. What matters most is our relationship and your unique experience. Together we'll explore not just what's going on in your life, but the patterns that quietly guide you: what continues to work for you, and what no longer serves. There is no one-size-fits-all formula... because you are not a formula... you are a person with your own story, strengths and struggles.

My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by my own encounters with mental health challenges, addiction, loss, and life crises. These experiences have given me profound respect for the courage it takes to sit in a therapy room, and for how personal the work of healing really is.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma from the Metanoia Institute, and I'm an accredited member of UKCP and registered member of BACP (MBACP). I bring over 5 years of clinical experience across charitable sector, NHS, and private practice settings, including acute psychiatric care so am comfortable supporting people through everything from everyday struggles to more complex difficulties.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
