About me
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may find yourself constantly worrying, feeling emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that seem impossible to break. Perhaps you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, the effects of past trauma, or relationships that leave you feeling unheard, disconnected, or not good enough. You may spend so much of your energy looking after others that you've lost sight of your own needs.
If this sounds familiar, you're not alone. Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but you don't have to face life's challenges by yourself.
Therapy offers a safe, confidential space where you can slow down, explore what's happening beneath the surface, and begin to understand yourself with greater compassion. Together, we can make sense of the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck, helping you develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and to others.
As a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I offer both online counselling across the UK and in-person sessions. I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, stress, emotional burnout, and feelings of shame or not being "enough."
My approach is grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA), a form of psychotherapy that helps us understand how our early experiences can shape the way we think, feel, and relate to others today. By recognising these patterns, we can begin to make sense of them, rather than feeling controlled by them.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe lasting change happens when you feel genuinely heard, accepted, and understood. Rather than offering quick fixes or telling you what to do, I work alongside you with curiosity, warmth, and respect. Together, we'll explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you, helping you build greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and the confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic to who you are.
Training, qualifications & experience
With over decades of diverse educational and professional experience, I bring a warm and compassionate approach to counselling. My qualifications as a level 6 Psychotherapeutic Counsellor included working with the root cause of emotional pain, including unresolved trauma, people-pleasing and perfectionism patterns and identity loss. I am qualified to work with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Alongside running a private counselling practice, I have worked with individuals with learning disabilities and currently support clients within an NHS Perinatal Counselling Team. I also have over two years’ experience facilitating support groups for carers, providing safe and supportive spaces for peer connection.
I offer a safe, confidential space where we can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace.
I work in line with professional ethical standards, including regular supervision and ongoing training, to ensure a safe and confidential space for clients. This reflects my commitment to working ethically and to high standards of Care.
