About me

Are your current thoughts, feelings, or behaviours getting in the way of your daily life and relationships?

Taking the first step toward support can feel daunting, but you don’t need to face this alone.

Hello, I'm Fiona, and as a qualified person-centred counsellor, I provide a compassionate space to help you navigate these challenges at your own pace without judgment.

Person-centred counselling creates a safe and supportive environment that encourages self-exploration and personal growth without judgement.

Each session is focused on building genuine connections that empower personal transformation and lasting wellbeing.

My practice is built on a foundation of compassion, respect, and collaboration. Together, we will navigate life's challenges, as we travel along your own unique path.

I am currently taking on new clients for both face to face sessions locally in Forres, Nairn and Inverness and online nationwide.

I have availability during weekdays, evenings and weekends, please contact me for more details.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified person centred counsellor registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

Person-centred counselling creates a safe and supportive environment that encourages self-exploration and personal growth without judgement.

This approach fosters trust and openness, leading to improved well-being by empowering you to take charge of your own unique journey.

I have experience counselling in a range of areas including

  • Stress & Anxiety
  • Neurodiversity
  • Addictive Behaviours
  • Loss & Bereavement
  • Life Transitions & Challenges
  • Identity & Relationships
  • Long term health conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and ME
  • Mental Illness including Depression, Bipolar, Tourette’s and BPD
  • Self Harm
  • Trauma & Abuse
  • Emotional Wellbeing

My practice is grounded in the integration of mind and body, recognising that the body holds its own inherent wisdom.

I welcome and respect diversity in relation to gender, sexuality and relationships. I stay mindful of assumptions and language as I value the uniqueness of each person and see all identities and consensual lifestyles as intrinsic expressions of human life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.
