About me

Hi, I'm Faye. I offer Pluralistic Therapy, working in a collaborative way to meet your needs, empowering you to find your truth.

Are you looking for support to navigate your problems through a one off session, a set number of sessions or open ended sessions? Get in touch and we can take that first step on your next journey.

Qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse in 2014 and working in a variety of settings with a wide range of mental health concerns, I quickly recognised that scripted care does not meet the expansive and diverse needs of the individual.

Re-training as a Pluralistic Practitioner and EMDR therapist has helped me to understand that we are rarely able to meet a persons individual needs by telling them what they should or shouldn't do. It is my belief that we can meet a persons needs by asking the question What do you need? and enhancing the journey to identifying not only the need, but also the solution. Whether that is change, acceptance, both or neither.

I am Neurodivergent and in my personal life I have had to overcome many challenges of my own and understand how hard it can be, it is only with help and support that I have learnt to grow and build resilience.

I appreciate the many chances my work provides me to support individuals in gaining deeper understanding and making positive life changes and continue to attend professional training every year to stay current in my practice area.

I'm excited about the chance to work with you!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
