About me
Hi! I'm Eva, and I work with people who find themselves lost, anxious, feeling low, and out of touch with themselves or the world. If any of the following resonates with you, we might be a good match:
Do you feel like something isn’t quite right, but you can’t put your finger on what it is? Maybe life looks fine from the outside, but inside you feel overwhelmed, stuck, lost, or disconnected from yourself. You may have been coping for a long time, carrying the demands of work, relationships, family, or life changes until eventually it starts to feel like too much. Or perhaps you’ve reached a crossroads and simply don’t know what comes next. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. I offer a supportive space where we can slow things down and make sense of what is happening for you.
I am a qualified counsellor, and I offer a space where we can together find out what is going on for you, what kind of strategies might be helpful on your journey, or simply offering you a space to be heard and seen.
Therapy, to me, isn’t about fixing you, it’s about walking with you as you come home to yourself. My style is gentle but real. I listen closely, but I won’t simply sit back and listen. I will ask questions, notice patterns, and invite you to maybe see a different perspective. There is room in our work for uncertainty, contradictions, or difficult emotions.
I practice face-to-face in Perth on Fridays (sometimes odd sessions possible on different days) and in Edinburgh on Saturdays. The rest of the days I work online, or I do walk-and-talk sessions around Perth.
Training, qualifications & experience
My training is rooted in an integrative approach to therapy. This means I draw from different therapeutic approaches so that our work can be shaped around you, rather than expecting you to fit into one particular model of therapy. My core theories are person-centred, psychodynamic, and CBT, but I am as well interested in creative approaches to therapy and at times, I may use creative or symbolic ways of exploring experiences when words alone don’t quite capture what is going on. Over the past six years, I have worked with children, young people, and adults in various therapeutic settings, schools, EAP companies, and in private practice.
