About me

Hello, I’m Euan. I am offering face-to-face, outdoor or online support in a welcoming and engaging environment.

I have always been curious about what makes us all unique. In these rapidly changing times, it feels more relevant than ever to provide a space where we can express and share our thoughts and feelings.

As a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, I am able to provide that space and support for those experiencing difficulties in their life.

We have all experienced levels of difficulties in our life. This may be related to work, relationships, periods of depression or anxiety. You may be experiencing low self esteem or trying to make sense of ADHD. These difficulties may have been with you for a long time, or they could be what you are living with and experiencing right now. By sharing and giving a voice to your experiences in a supportive environment, we will strive to gain understanding and confidence to move to a more wholesome self.

I will listen to you, engage with you and support you in exploring and understanding what you share with me. Please feel free to contact me to find out more on how I work and how we can both work together. I offer a safe, comfortable and confidential space to explore.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have a keen interest in the development and understanding of men's mental health in these modern times. This in turn, can also play its part in how men see and understand themselves in their relationships, at work, with family.

Alongside this, I am very passionate of how we are all impacted by our rapidly changing world,  its climate, news and technology. How does this affect how we understand ourselves and what this means in our relationships with others? What does this mean for young people growing up and how are they experiencing it?

A little about me...

I have lived in Ulverston for nearly 20 years now. I have 2 sons that are now grown and flown the nest. I live with my partner and our sprocker, Elvis and you may well see me out and about with him on a walk in this lovely area of ours.

Although people understand talking therapy as generally based inside, I do offer the opportunity to use and experience the outside environment too as our space to explore and understand. It can be very interesting to see how the the outside can bring something different to how we see things and ourselves.

We can talk about how we might do this if it may be something you were interested in.
