About me
You may know your patterns well, yet still find yourself living them.
Perhaps you keep finding yourself in the same relationships, reacting in ways you don't fully understand, or feeling that you're never quite enough. You may have spent years trying to make sense of these experiences, yet they continue to shape how you relate to yourself and others. This can feel confusing, frustrating and, at times, deeply exhausting.
I work with adults who are exploring the impact of early relationships, difficult life experiences, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, identity and low self-worth. Many of the people I meet are thoughtful and self-aware. They often understand their difficulties intellectually but still feel caught in emotional patterns that seem difficult to change.
I believe therapy offers more than symptom relief. It provides a space to pause, understand the experiences that have shaped you, and begin relating to yourself with greater compassion and clarity. Together, we can explore what feels stuck, helping you move towards a way of living that feels more connected, authentic and grounded.
As an Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapist working in a trauma-informed way, I tailor therapy to you rather than following one fixed approach. Every person brings a unique history, set of relationships and way of experiencing the world, so our work together is shaped around your individual needs rather than fitting you into a particular model.
Alongside exploring what is happening in your life now, we will gently look at the deeper emotional patterns that may have developed over time as ways of adapting, surviving or protecting yourself. My approach is collaborative, compassionate and unhurried. Therapeutic change often develops through a relationship in which you feel genuinely seen, understood and safe enough to explore difficult experiences.
While conversation is often at the heart of therapy, there are times when words alone do not fully capture what we carry. When it feels helpful, I may also draw on creative and reflective approaches such as imagery, dreams, creative expression or gentle awareness of the body. You do not need to be artistic or have any previous experience with these approaches; they simply offer another way of exploring experiences that can be difficult to express in words alone.
Therapy with me is not about being judged or fixed. It is a collaborative process of understanding yourself more deeply, recognising your strengths alongside your struggles, and developing new ways of relating to yourself and others that feel more fulfilling and sustainable.
If you feel that my approach resonates with you, I invite you to get in touch for an initial conversation.
Training, qualifications & experience
Trauma
Trauma can affect us long after difficult experiences have ended. You may feel constantly on edge, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or find that certain situations trigger reactions you cannot fully explain. Together we can explore how these experiences continue to shape your life and work towards developing a greater sense of safety, connection and resilience.
Depression
Depression can feel like more than sadness. It may involve feeling emotionally numb, exhausted, hopeless or disconnected from yourself, other people or activities that once felt meaningful. Therapy offers a space to explore both your current experience and the deeper factors that may be contributing to these feelings, helping you reconnect with yourself and regain a sense of purpose and hope.
Abuse
The impact of emotional, physical, sexual or psychological abuse can continue long after the events themselves. It may affect your sense of safety, trust, self-worth and relationships with others. Therapy provides a compassionate and confidential space to process these experiences at your own pace, helping you understand their impact and gently rebuild a stronger relationship with yourself.
Relationships
Relationships can bring connection and fulfilment, but they can also become a source of pain, conflict or confusion. You may notice recurring patterns, difficulties trusting others, fear of rejection, people-pleasing, or challenges with boundaries. Together we can explore how these patterns developed, understand how they continue to influence your relationships today, and support you in building healthier, more authentic ways of relating.
Anxiety
Anxiety can show up as persistent worry, overthinking, feeling overwhelmed or always anticipating that something might go wrong. It can affect your confidence, relationships and ability to feel present in everyday life. Together we can explore both the immediate challenges and the deeper emotional patterns that may be contributing to your anxiety.
Low Self-Worth
Living with low self-worth can leave you questioning your value, doubting your abilities or feeling that you are never quite enough. These beliefs often develop through earlier experiences and can continue to influence how you relate to yourself and others. Therapy can help you understand where these patterns began and begin developing a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Life Transitions
Major life changes, whether expected or unexpected, can leave us feeling uncertain, overwhelmed or disconnected from our usual sense of self. Therapy offers a space to navigate these transitions, make sense of what they mean for you, and explore new possibilities with greater confidence and clarity.
Identity
Questions about identity or navigating LGBTQ+ issues can arise at different stages of life, particularly during periods of change or following difficult experiences. You may be exploring who you are, how you relate to others, or what gives your life meaning. Therapy provides a supportive space to reflect on these questions and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
