About me
Life is often full of it’s challenges, and sometimes things can feel like they’re quickly stacking up. I offer a confidential and safe space for you to explore the big questions, the hurt relationships, the uncomfortable emotions and the never ending options.
Taking the first steps to address some of these challenges is incredibly brave and I will offer you my undivided attention, support and a judgement free space as we begin to walk this journey together.
I am a registered member of ACC, working online and in person, based within the Reading area. I recognise that each person is a unique individual - there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to counselling. So through this journey I hope to work collaboratively with you, to find out what it is that you want to address in the sessions and to go at a pace that feels right for you. You know yourself best, so I aim to work with you to understand what life is like for you, to help you feel deeply heard and empowered.
I will work to build trust in the therapeutic relationship, so that our time together feels safe, respectful, with no judgement and tailored to your needs and working towards your goals.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Diploma of Higher Education in Counselling from Waverley Abbey College, validated by Middlesex University.
I am a registered member of the ACC (Association of Christian Counsellors), a regulatory body for the counselling and psychotherapy professions. I adhere to their code of ethics and professional standards.
I have had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate a wide range of challenges. My time within a counselling charity has given me with a deep appreciation for various therapeutic approaches and the ability to tailor these to meet the needs of each unique person.
I have worked with people who have wanted to explore many different issues, including anxiety and depression, low self-esteem and identity issues, difficult relationships, bereavement and loss, intimacy concerns and what offers meaning to your life.
