About me

As well as working in private practice, I also work at Meadows Wellbeing in Billingshurst West Sussex. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space for people to explore their feelings. I believe that each person is unique in their experiences, with their own story to tell. Together we can explore what is on your mind, judgement-free and with compassion and discover new ways of exploring your inner child and your experiences within your world.

I have a BA (Hons) degree in Humanistic counselling, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means I follow a strict code of ethics to ensure I am always working in your best interests.

I also integrate other therapeutic modalities, tailored to meet your unique needs and experiences. For example, inner child work, creative therapy, Visualisation techniques and CBT informed techniques. These are all under my humanistic approach to counselling, where I endeavour to create an empathic and respectful environment for you to be your authentic self.
My goal is to create a confidential and supportive space where you can explore your emotions, uncover your inner strengths and help you navigate life's challenges.

I have extensive training in inner child work, anxiety, depression, trauma, loss & bereavement. I also hold additional certification in CBT at level 2. I have over 20 years of experience helping adults and young people (over 16), with their mental health.

How Counselling can help.

Life can be full of challenges, and it's perfectly natural to seek support when things get tough. People come to counselling for many reasons. For some a loss or trauma may have made coping difficult. Others may feel lonely, depressed or anxious. Some may experience feelings of low self-worth or hopelessness, and sometimes we just don’t know what is wrong.

Choosing a counsellor is an important step on your journey towards healing and self-discovery, and I am here to support you every step of the way. As an integrative  humanistic counsellor, my primary focus is you - your experiences, feelings and aspirations. I create a warm, welcoming space where you can express yourself freely, without judgement.
In our sessions , you'll find a space where your'e truly heard and accepted without judgement. We will work at your pace focusing on what feels important to you. We may work with the feelings you have and explore at a deeper level, where they may have come from. This can provide a deeper understanding of your past, present and help you to move forward.

I offer in-person sessions and online and telephone counselling to anywhere in the uk, depending on your requirements. I work from a private location, about 15 minutes from Horsham in West Sussex. Public transportation and free on-street parking is available.

What to expect in your first session.

I offer a free initial consultation of 30 minutes over Zoom to discuss your specific needs and answer any questions you may have. Then if you feel we are a good fit, we can have a first session. You can decide if we work together online via Zoom or in-person. Our first session is where we will discuss your needs, expectations, and how we can work together to achieve your goals, in greater depth.

I believe that you are the expert on your own life. I am here to support you as you find your own path forward, making choices that feel right for you.

Seeking support is a brave step towards growth and self care. No issue is too big or too small, if it matters to you, it matters in our sessions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
