About me

Hello and welcome.

I’m a fully qualified integrative therapist with a specialist interest in working with anxiety, feelings of shyness, embarrassment or shame, bereavement, addiction, low self-esteem, loneliness, feeling sad and supporting struggles with identity, authenticity and purpose.

You might be feeling anxious, lost or unsure what you’re doing with your life. Perhaps you are struggling with feeling behind and/or different?

My practice is all about providing a positive and supportive place for expression, whatever that looks like for you. Whether it be creatively weird and wonderful, or whether you have been judged or shamed for it previously, all parts of you are welcome here.

I use a combination of psychotherapy, psycho-education, and thoughtful and respectful conversation along with a sprinkle of positivity, humour and a touch of magic. I care deeply that people can find it in themselves to be brave enough to face the things that scare or challenge them the most.

Sessions can be held in person, online or by telephone. Alternatively, if you are not comfortable talking out loud, I also offer counselling sessions via email which is perfect if you really don’t want to be seen on camera or heard on the phone, or perhaps you struggle to find a quiet space to sit and talk openly?

Types of session I offer:

  • Online
  • Telephone
  • Email

Counselling by Email

Counselling by Email brings lots of flexibility if you struggle to schedule in-person or online sessions, or if you don’t have enough privacy available to you to be able to speak out loud.

It can be a safer way to access therapy if you feel too self conscious or too anxious to speak or to be seen, or it may just suit you better if you feel more comfortable communicating in writing.

I feel that the most important thing is the relationship between client and counsellor, trust is built over time and I believe in working together to create a space where you can unburden and unpick the things that we can all find ourselves holding onto.

I keep an intentionally small practice so that I can work with you and your story to the best of my ability, and this also means that I can offer a degree of flexibility to accommodate your schedule and commitments.

Next Steps: I love that my work involves having inspiring, creative and meaningful conversations with real people.

If you would like to get to know me and my way of working more I am happy to offer you a complimentary online initial consultation where we can work out whether we are a good fit for each other and you can have the time you need to ask any questions that you might have.

Send me an email here.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Therapeutic Tarot combines creative storytelling using the cards characters and symbols.

Working with the Tarot in these sessions sparks the imagination helping us to articulate and verbalise how the cards might be relevant to us.

The cards are not used for fortune telling, nor is our time together led by the set meanings that you can read in books … instead they are individual, personal and full of wonder and exploration in a safe and non judgemental space.
