About me
I am a qualified and experienced integrative counsellor, offering both short and longer term therapy to clients who are feeling overwhelmed or who wish to explore the challenges they are facing. I am a BACP accredited counsellor, with many years of experience working with adults and young people, and aim to offer a safe, warm and empathic space. I have worked with young people as a counsellor in schools for over 10 years, and have additional training and experience in working with neurodiverse clients, as well as clients who have experienced trauma.
There are many reasons why someone may seek out counselling. Life can be difficult, and most of us need a little help sometimes. I offer a non-judgemental space where clients feel safe to explore their feelings and experiences, and where they can be heard and understood. This in itself can help to ease some of the distress. Often in having this space to reflect, clients will gain more understanding of themselves and their story, feel more able to cope and be able to move forward in more positive ways.
Being an integrative counsellor, I draw on a number of approaches (person centred, psychodynamic, use of CBT and creative tools). Some people want a space to be heard and to explore, while others want a more focused approach, looking at strategies and skills to help have more control over their feelings and situations. Counselling is always tailored to the individual and we move together at a pace that is right for the client.
I work in person from a quiet space in my home, as well as offering online sessions.
I am also a qualified counselling supervisor, with several years of experience in this role.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
