About me
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has further specialised in Perinatal and Parental Mental Health support. I work with people who are experiencing Anxiety, Depression, processing past Trauma, OCD, birth trauma, phobia of birth, difficulties with bonding, gender disappointment, adjusting to parenthood, low self-esteem and the sad loss of a pregnancy. I will work alongside you to develop an intervention plan that fits for you, based upon your needs, your goals and the evidence bases for effective treatment.
I offer integrative treatment plans to fit with your individual needs, your previous experiences and the symptoms that you are experiencing. I work predominantly using Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). I have also specialised in the exploration of Parent-Infant Relationships and offer attachment-based interventions and Video-Interaction Guidance (VIG). These are interventions which support you to develop your relationship with your baby and to consider the parts of the parenting relationship that feel trickier.
I believe that psychological intervention should always feel kind and compassionate, whist also 'making sense' of the complexity of everyday life. Breathe...we've got this!
