About me
Deciding to seek therapy can feel like a daunting experience for many people. You may have experienced something painful in life and feel clear about your current concerns, or perhaps you feel lost, stuck or misunderstood but don’t understand why. You may not know how you feel or what your difficulties are but have a general sense that something doesn’t feel right. I can meet you where you are and help you to make sense of your experience. Together we will try to understand what feels distressing and explore what is meaningful to you so that you can engage with life more fully.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered Psychotherapist based in Bristol, offering therapy in person and online. I hold full clinical membership with the UKCP and have over 10 years’ experience working with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties within the NHS, universities, and community health settings.
I am also in the final stage of a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy (DCPsych). I have completed all clinical and taught elements of the programme and will be eligible to register as a Chartered Psychologist following my research viva in 2026.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I work from a relational, integrative perspective, which means I am trained in a range of different modalities including: psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, existential, humanistic and trauma-informed approaches. Therapy may involve exploring thoughts, feelings or patterns that have developed in your relationships and the ways these may be affecting how you currently relate to yourself and others. It can be helpful to explore different areas of your experience, including emotions or parts of yourself that may have been difficult to acknowledge, so that they become more understandable and less likely to emerge in ways that feel unexpected or difficult to manage. Therapy will look different for each person, as our work will depend on your own circumstances and individual needs.
