About me
Welcome! I am a humanistic and integrative counsellor, and I offer one-on-one sessions both online and in person in Bradford-on-Avon and Bath.
My work is deeply relational and focused on the here and now. However, I also draw on psychodynamic theories to support you make sense of how the past may still be influencing your current experiences.
Each therapy will look different from one client to the next, so I recommend we first have a phone call (free of charge) as well as a discovery session (normal session fee) that doesn't commit either of us, and will give us a flavour of what working together would feel like.
Training, qualifications & experience
I've trained at Bath Center for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC) and hold a Level 6 diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling.
I am a registered member of BACP and abide by its code of ethics.
I receive regular supervision to make sure my work is both ethical and effective.
Prior to this, I trained as a death doula with Living Well Dying Well, and this experience greatly enriched my practice as a counsellor. It gives an existential background to my approach, and I am not afraid to explore topics that can unfortunately sometimes feel taboo, like death, religion, money or sex.
I have a wide range of experiences working both short and long term, with different types of issues, including addiction, the effects of abuse and loss, trauma, sexual assault, relationship difficulties, work work-related anxiety
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a space that is warm and non-judgemental. I believe everyone deserves to be heard, and counselling is a wonderful opportunity to pause and take a look inside. With awareness comes change and growth - the first step is the hardest one to take!
I offer therapy both in English and French.
