About me

About Me

I am an experienced qualified and insured integrative counsellor, which means I can draw on a range of counselling approaches such as humanistic, CBT and psychodynamic in order to meet your needs.

Throughout my professional experience I have had the privilege to work with and help many people through their difficulties, learn to understand and manage their emotions, increasing well-being and enjoying life again.
I strongly believe that people have the potential for growth and the resilience for making positive changes in their life, and believe that the therapeutic relationship we will create together plays a huge part in helping you take that step forward to becoming the best version of yourself.

I work with people with a range of issues & I specialise in working with Autism/ ADHD & other neurodiverse conditions. I also work with anxiety issues, depression, stress and trauma. As an Audhd adult I understand the importance of finding the right type of counsellor who can tailor an approach to suit your needs and empower you.

I have a special interest, understanding and experience of working with trauma including childhood trauma and childhood illness, anxiety, low mood and low self-esteem, grief, and many other issues that affects us all.

I am currently able to offer online sessions, which means you can access counselling from the comfort of your home at a time that suits you.

Alongside my counselling practice, I am also a counselling tutor, and work as part of a team delivering counselling training.

Perhaps you are feeling lost in life, struggling to feel heard and understood, experiencing low mood or anxiety and low self-esteem? Perhaps you are experiencing difficulties in your work or personal relationships causing anxiety, stress, overwhelm and sadness, leading to feelings of guilt and shame over your emotions?

I can help you explore these issues in a non-judgemental, welcoming and safe environment, walking alongside you in your journey towards becoming the best version of yourself and enjoying life again.

How Counselling Can Help

It may feel daunting talking to a counsellor about your thoughts and feelings, but talking to someone in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space can help. I have a passion for helping people and a commitment to walking alongside you in this journey to healing. Although the journey will require effort and trust, I can assure you that it will be worth it, and you will be able to find a feeling of well-being once more.
I work in an integrative holistic way that enables us to explore what is going on for you right now and take a positive outlook on all we will achieve together. It is important for me that you do not feel alone in this process, and that you feel safe, supported and empowered.

I understand the importance of finding the right counsellor, where you can feel comfortable and at ease, and am able to work face to face and online either short or long term.

Please feel free to contact me to see how I can best support you.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
