About me
Introduction
If you're reading this, you've decided the time is right to make a change, and you're ready to take that important step. Asking for help can be difficult, and it is something to be applauded.
People seek therapy for a number of reasons. You might be experiencing a big life change or challenging event. You might be seeking personal growth and more self-awareness. Perhaps you're ready to address a long-standing issue or experience. Perhaps you are just feeling stuck and would like to talk to someone.
That is what I am here for.
My role is to offer a safe space, free from judgement, and to listen to you with warmth and empathy. I will hear you, support you, empower you and facilitate you finding your path through. I encourage autonomy and self-compassion. I will endeavour to help you to see things in a different light. I believe everyone can benefit from therapy, and the benefits of therapy can be life-changing.
About Me
I am a BACP registered psychotherapist and counsellor working online and in-person in the Wycombe area. My style is warm and gentle, curious and kind. I prioritise empathy, warmth, and safety. I offer a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I've helped my clients with many issues, such as anxiety, stress, depression, major life changes and problems in relationships.
I trained in London, where I obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of Roehampton, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Inquiry from the Open University. I have many years of experience working in therapy clinics and counselling services, with a huge range of clients from all backgrounds. I now work in private practice in High Wycombe, and I am proudly part of of the Chiltern Clinic, where my in-person work takes place (Fennels Lodge, Loudwater HP11 1JT).
Inclusivity is very important to me and all people are welcome to my practice. I am neurodiversity affirmative and LGBTQIA+ affirmative.
My Practice
My style is relational and integrative, which means I am concerned with building a strong relationship with my client, and use various therapeutic approaches depending on what is most suitable at the time. My main approaches are a blend of person-centred, with elements of psychodynamic and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
Person-centred: works on the principle that all people can reach their full potential if given the right conditions, and creates a supportive, non-judgemental environment to facilitate growth and increased self-awareness
Psychodynamic: focuses on the past and childhood experiences and aims to understand how these impact us in the present
CBT: offers proactive strategies to improve our day to day experience, by looking at how our thoughts impact our feeling and behaviours, and challenging and changing these thoughts.
As part of my ongoing professional training, I am training to integrate Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) into my practice. This therapy reprocesses traumatic memories so that they are less impactful. I will be offering EMDR sessions from the summer of 2025.
We can discuss how you'd like to work together in our initial conversation. Please do get in touch if you have any questions.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
