About me

Hi I'm Liz and I offer counselling that centres warmth, honesty and genuine human connection.

People often come to me when they’ve reached a point where something in their life no longer feels workable - a relationship, a pattern, a way of coping, or simply the pace they’ve been holding. When you’re standing in that uncomfortable in‑between space, it can be hard to know what to do next. I offer a supportive place to explore that, gently and without pressure.

My practice is integrative and trauma‑informed, drawing on psychoanalytic ideas, attachment and the power of a steady therapeutic relationship.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked for many years in frontline public‑service roles, supporting people through crisis, uncertainty and moments of profound vulnerability. This experience shapes the grounded, calm and non‑judgemental presence I bring to therapy. I also support a local secondary school as a volunteer counsellor offering support to young people.

Whatever has brought you to search for a counsellor, you’re welcome here.

Reaching out is often the hardest step and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I offer a free introductory call so we can talk through what you’re looking for and whether working together feels right for you.

I currently offer face to face and online evening and Saturday appointments, making it easier to fit therapy around work, caring responsibilities, or a busy life.

I look forward to hearing from you.
