About me

I provide psychotherapy in a safe, confidential, empathetic and non-judgmental environment. I am DBS checked and I am registered with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP). I have worked therapeutically for nearly 30 years with adults and young people in a variety of roles within the NHS and Social Services, currently employed as a CBT therapist with the NHS. I now also offer psychotherapy privately to clients for whom no NHS solution is readily available.

I have completed a number of psychological trainings in a variety of therapeutic disciplines including: Gestalt; Systemic Therapy; Psychodynamic; Mindfulness; CBT; EMDR; Therapeutic Use of the Arts; IPT and Integrative Psychotherapy. I work with anxiety and depression, trauma, PTSD, bullying, bereavement/loss and any issues relating to childhood.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
