About me
Are you struggling to cope? Do you need to talk confidentially to a fully qualified and UKCP registered Psychotherapist or Counsellor? Your Safe Harbour can provide you with a safe and quiet space to think through your issues and to have a non-judgemental ear to listen and to reflect with you what your options may be.
Nearly everyone will need counselling/psychotherapy at some point in their life. This could be caused by a specific event or an ever increasing feeling that you would like something about yourself or your relationships to change.
Reasons for contacting me may include anxiety, bereavement; stress management, bullying, assisted conception, redundancy, parenting, abuse, relationships, self-harm, depression, eating disorders, self-esteem, work-related issues, family change, or simply wanting things to change. I often hear "My issues aren't very important" but if has brought you to see me, then, whatever it is that you want to talk about, is important enough for me.
Relationship Counselling can include Friends, Family, Partner, Break-up, Marriage & Divorce
Psychotherapy is ongoing therapy to help you to deal with your history, recurrent problems or abuse that you may have suffered
Fertility counselling may include helping those who are thinking about, or having, IVF, ICSI or similar treatments, those making decisions about whether to use a donor or double donors, miscarriages/stillbirths, death of an unborn twin and also the eventual arrival of your much wanted child.
I also offer pre-nuptial counselling to help you get off to the right start with your relationship/marriage.
Sessions are available via Zoom (free version for you), telephone or face to face in Rugby (very limited availability)

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
