About me

My name is El Kirkham and I am a registered member of the BACP and COSRT counselling organisations. I work with individuals, relationships and families. I have worked for Relationship Scotland, CRUSE Bereavement, TalkListenChange, Doncaster College and several secondary schools. I also work as a secondary school teacher and have an in-depth understanding of adolescents and school-related issues e.g EBSA.  I also train counsellors at Masters level at Doncaster College which means I am up-to-date with new ideas and techniques.  In addition, I offer Supervision and have completed the Diploma in Supervision with Relationships Scotland.

I work from a Systemic and psychodynamic approach which means I look at present contexts and relationships and their impact on individuals as well as past experiences. I work alongside you at your pace.

I have experience of working with domestic abuse, sex/sexuality, identity, anxiety, depression, attachment, bereavement, relationships, neurodiversity, trauma and abuse. I am passionate about inclusion and diversity and have experience of a wide range of SEN issues and am an advocate of GSERD and other relationship diversities.
