About me
Imagine a safe, private place where you can think, and say, whatever you want. Where you’ll never be judged, or lectured. Where you’re in control – and can take as long as you want to work through what’s on your mind. What would you do with that?
That's what I can offer you. I’m a person-centred counsellor: my role is to be alongside you as you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences – growing your self-awareness, and working towards making the changes you want to make in your life. I’m not a life coach, or a dispenser of advice: you're the expert in you.
I work with adult clients in private practice in Liphook in Hampshire and Haslemere in Surrey. I’m experienced in a range of issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement and more. I welcome all clients regardless of disability, sexuality, gender, race or religion.
I'm a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) – the professional association for the counselling professions in the UK – and I work within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
If all this sounds like it might be what you’re looking for then a good place to start would be for us to have a short initial consultation, either in person, online or on the telephone: there’s no charge and there are no obligations either. If you feel our relationship could work, we can start the journey together – and if not, there will be someone out there who’s right for you.
Thanks for reading my profile.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
