About me

Hello, I am a Counselling Psychologist with the 12 years’ experience of working within NHS mental health and psychology services. Currently, I work at the complex depression, anxiety and trauma team, NHS service. I also see people privately for psychology consultation and treatment. I am trained to the doctoral level to work with variety of therapy models and practice in a multi-theoretical way. This means that my approach to therapy is based on individual need and collaboration with the client.

I am able to use different psychotherapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Attachment based therapy and Trauma informed therapy. I work with a variety of presenting difficulties including depression, anxiety (general, phobia, panic attacks), self esteem, OCD, BDD, PTSD – early and later life trauma, relationship and personality difficulties. Most importantly people come to see me because they are finding difficult to understand and resolve their emotional difficulties whether it is relating to their external life (relationships, work, life transitions) or internal being.

I know that seeking psychological therapy can be a daunting process whether it is your first time or you had therapy before. I understand that you may have concerns about the model of therapy, suitable therapist, or the process (how it all works). Initially, I offer a telephone call during which we can briefly discuss all the above and arrange a face to face /online consultation.
