About me
EMDR UK registered therapist, HCPC Art Therapist, Supervisor
It can be helpful to have a few approaches to embody and express thoughts and feelings; my training began with art psychotherapy and I worked for 15 years in the NHS with children and young people. I then focused on working with young people who were not living with their family of origin, and were in foster care or were adopted.
My interest in our innate capacity to heal from trauma(s) that impact, that capacity to learn to live with the effects of difficult or even, damaging experiences and even to have a story, to find a voice, to share, at one's own pace, this story- these ideas led me to how I work now, combining art therapy with EMDR with movement and meditation to resource a stressed system.

Further information
My work is mainly online where I offer a safe, secure space for exploration through talking and possibly, depending on the wishes of my client, the use of creativity, within the boundaries of the therapy time. I also make suggestions of ideas to explore during the week in between sessions.
