About me
Hello and welcome,
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of BACP. I work with adults on a long or short-term basis for face to face, online, telephone, and couples counselling.
I have sessions available to offer supportive counselling for a wide range of concerns which including Grief/ Bereavement, Anger management, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Relationship and Family issues and many more…
Maybe you’re wondering if it’s the right time to explore counselling to talk about issues that have been bothering you?
Are you feeling troubled by experiences that you just can’t seem to move on from?
There could be all sorts of reasons for wanting to come to therapy, maybe you are feeling lost within yourself, anxious, depressed, stressed, frightened, angry, upset, maybe all and more... these are difficult feelings to manage alone and sometimes hard to make sense of, are they holding you back from living the life you want?
Your concerns and worries are important and deserve to be heard and you are worthy of our time together. I offer care and kindness with a non-judgmental approach to your individuality and diversity, I provide a safe regular confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and self at a pace that you’re comfortable with.
As an experienced Integrative counsellor, I work from a person-centred approach, using gestalt awareness and compassion focused insights alongside with other therapeutic models, which helps to guide me in understanding your unique experiences. I tailor my approach to be supportive of your needs and together, my hope is that we can build a strong therapeutic relationship where you can feel safe to explore all your concerns and worries. Together we can work towards building your self-awareness helping you to become aware of choice, which can then assist you as you gain empowerment, positive change, and wellbeing in your life.
Providing you a calm caring and trustworthy space where you can talk openly with me about the things that trouble you, allows for a deeper understanding of yourself to emerge. I won’t rush you or tell you what to do, I will listen with empathy and gentleness and together we can gain insight of who you are and what you want and need.
If you feel you would like to reach out to me, please do get in touch either by telephone, text or email, I offer an initial free telephone consultation approx. 30mins, arranged at a time convenient to us both where we can have an informal chat and we can explore any questions you may have, allowing us to then decide if working together will be suitable for you.
Warmest regards
Debbie.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
