About me
*only daytime session slots available at the moment - can be flexibly timed to fit around shifts/life*
I feel a particular connection with those of you whose childhood experiences are impacting on your daily adult life. I work with you as a couple or individual to help you understand yourself and begin to explore/enjoy who you want to be together and individually.
Maybe you are feeling empty and lonely? Or maybe unusually angry and stressed? Maybe you are noticing that you are withdrawing emotionally from your partner or that you are becoming defensive. Our childhood and earlier adulthood experiences shape us and how we are able to enjoy our relationships. You might not think your childhood was traumatic but what you learned and how you developed during that time are often the bedrock of how you experience life as an adult.
I work with you to increase your self-awareness, improve communication, explore who you want to be and increase your emotional connection to yourself and others. I do this by encouraging you to be curious about yourself as an individual and the impact you have on yourself as well as those around you. My therapy style is challenging and equally supportive. It requires commitment to homework in between sessions as well as deep work in session. My couples therapy is delivered as a combination of individual and joint therapy sessions that are tailored to your needs.
Whether you want to come just for yourself or with partners, friends or family, I work alongside you to help you fully understand the difficulties you are facing and make informed decisions or changes.
I offer face to face (f2f) (with occasional online if req - individuals only) to people aged 18 or older.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
