About me

I am a qualified Humanistic Existential Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I offer online therapy for adults of all ages, working short‑term, long‑term, or on an open‑ended basis depending on your needs.

My approach is grounded in creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, collaborative, and human. I believe therapy works best when you feel met as a whole person rather than reduced to a diagnosis. Alongside my core training, I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic perspectives to respond thoughtfully to each individual. No two people experience life in the same way, and I aim to honour that uniqueness in our work together.

As an autistic therapist and co‑chair of a Neurodiversity Network within a health board, I bring both professional and lived understanding of neurodivergence. While I do not position myself as a neurodiversity specialist, I am neurodivergent‑affirming and committed to working in ways that respect different communication styles, sensory needs, processing differences, and ways of being in the world.

I have extensive experience supporting people within hospital settings and working alongside bereavement and end‑of‑life services within a health board. Although my private practice is not limited to these areas, this work has given me a deep respect for the complexities of loss, uncertainty, identity, transition, and resilience.

I have also worked with Cardiff Mind, providing counselling to clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns. This broadened my clinical perspective and strengthened my ability to work flexibly with people facing very different life situations and levels of distress.

I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, gender identity, life transitions, grief, self‑esteem, and relationship difficulties. Whether you’re navigating something specific or carrying a more general sense of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, therapy can offer a space to explore this at your own pace.

At the heart of my practice is a simple intention: to be the kind of counsellor I needed when I was younger - offering warmth without assumption, challenge without judgement, and a space where you do not have to mask or perform. Therapy with me is not about “fixing” you; it is about understanding you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
