About me

I offer an integrative counselling space where you are met as you are, without judgement or expectation. People often come to therapy with a sense that something in their life feels unsettled or out of balance, even if it is hard to put into words. Counselling is not about being fixed or directed, but about being listened to with empathy, care, and respect. It offers time and space to slow down, to feel understood, and to begin exploring your experience with greater self-compassion and trust in your own capacity to make sense of what matters to you.

The work begins by slowing down and paying close, compassionate attention to your lived experience, in a way that feels collaborative and non-judgemental. Together, we explore how thoughts, feelings, and ways of relating have taken shape through life and relationship, often as meaningful responses to the conditions you have lived within. Alongside this, we make space for deeper questions about choice, responsibility, freedom, and meaning — noticing where life may feel narrowed or constrained, and where there may be the possibility of responding more authentically.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and integrative, drawing on attachment-aware, person-centred, and CBT-informed perspectives while remaining open to deeper questions of meaning, identity, freedom, and uncertainty. I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way with children, adolescents, and adults, aiming to move at a pace that feels respectful and guided by what matters most to you. At its heart, my work is about supporting greater understanding, authenticity, and a clearer sense of how you wish to live.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor and registered mental health nurse, with experience supporting people across inpatient mental health services, substance misuse services, and educational settings. I am currently completing an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy and work as a School Counsellor within a specialist SEN school.

My training includes a BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing alongside professional counselling qualifications accredited by the BACP. I bring a wide range of experience from both NHS and private healthcare settings, working with adolescents, young adults, and adults, including neurodivergent individuals. I regularly support people experiencing emotional regulation difficulties, trauma-related experiences, anxiety, low mood, and challenges in relationships or self-understanding.

My work is trauma-aware and neurodiversity-affirming, and I aim to work in a way that feels collaborative rather than prescriptive. I value building a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, understood, and supported to explore difficulties at their own pace, and to develop greater insight, resilience, and self-compassion.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
