About me

Hello, I’m Dana.

A Gestalt counsellor based in Eastleigh, Hampshire.

Sometimes life can feel confusing or heavy, and it can be hard to make sense of how to cope with it all. I believe counselling is a shared journey - one that invites awareness, honesty, and growth. My aim is to walk alongside you with empathy and curiosity, helping you explore your experiences and find ways to move forward with more confidence and clarity.

I work from a Gestalt approach, which means our focus will be on what’s happening for you right now - how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours connect to all of your experiences. Together, we’ll look at how you relate to yourself and others. To pause, reflect, and begin to explore new ways that feel more authentic and fulfilling to yourself.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Diploma of Higher Education in Gestalt Counselling. My work is grounded in integrity, compassion, and professionalism, which is valuable as a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Hampshire Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (HACP).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

My sessions are relaxed and conversational, offering space for you to speak openly and be heard without judgement.

I have a particular passion for supporting young people aged 11–25, as I believe these years can be both exciting and deeply challenging. However, I welcome clients of all ages, creating a space where your story is valued and your voice matters.

I also offer ‘walk and talk’ sessions in the surrounding Eastleigh area - for those who prefer to reflect outdoors or find it easier to talk while moving.

I work with a wide range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Relationship or family difficulties
  • Life transitions and uncertainty
  • Stress, overwhelm, or burnout
  • Loss, change, or identity

You don’t need to have a specific “issue” to come to counselling - sometimes it’s simply about wanting to understand yourself better or make sense of what feels stuck.
