About me

Hello, I am a qualified Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering support to all who may be needing it in this moment.

I work using a person centred foundation which means I provide empathy and warmth whilst looking at your emotions, cognitions and experiences. We can then explore any drives/ mechanisms (which you may or may not be aware of) which are affecting your everyday life using a more psychodynamic approach. If working in a CBT manner suits you, then those skills can be offered to allow you to cultivate healthier ways to navigate situations/thinking/feelings and associated behaviours . I provide sessions in a collaborative way with clients, that will allow you to explore, identify and work on issues which are affecting your inner emotions, external behaviours and/or life difficulties in general. Allieviating anxieties, talking through loss, exploring personal relationships, working on low self esteem, focusing on solutions to achieve goals, and easing depressive states are areas I have worked with very successfully to date.

Allowing you a space to be truly heard, feel safe, bring in your authentic self and work towards your goals - which may include experiencing peace, validation, purpose, acceptance and new meaning - is an integral part of my practice.

Additional trauma informed knowledge and training helps me help you.

I aim to benefit you in various areas of your life. You will gain understanding of internal processes and identify your abilities to tap into your own resources and strengths enabling you to manage yourself more effectively going forward; this can be provided through short term or long term therapy.

I provide therapeutic modalities within an Integrative approach, meaning I am trained within different types of therapies, all designed to suit and benefit your individual requirements both historic and in the here and now. I'm here to hear you and assist you in areas you are struggling with.

I understand making that first step in this process can be difficult. Do reach out if you feel I am someone who could help. I am very approachable and considered. We can have an initial free talk on the phone.

I offer reasonable fees as I believe therapy should be more accessable to our communities.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
