About me

Hello, I’m Damian, a counsellor/therapist offering in-person therapy in Haywards Heath / Brighton and online counselling across the UK.

I work with adults/young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, addiction, and feeling stuck or disconnected. Many of the people I support are looking not just for symptom relief, but for a deeper understanding of themselves and what they are going through.

My approach is integrative and depth-oriented, meaning we work with the whole of your experience — your thoughts, emotions, body, life history, and sense of meaning. Rather than seeing symptoms as problems to “fix,” I see them as meaningful signals that deserve attention and understanding.

I aim to offer a space that is safe, reflective, and genuinely human. A place where you can slow down, explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and begin to make sense of what you’re feeling — at your own pace.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a Psychosynthesis therapist, having completed a Level 7 BACP-accredited training — a postgraduate-level (Master’s equivalent) qualification in counselling and psychotherapy and am a registered member of the BACP, working in accordance with their Ethical Framework.

Since 2023, I have worked as a therapist across Central London and Sussex, supporting adults in both short-term counselling and longer-term therapy. I have worked with a variety of clients from different backgrounds and cultures.

I have experience working with a broad range of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief and bereavement, relationship challenges, and feeling stuck or disconnected.

My work is supported through regular one-to-one supervision with an experienced supervisor, alongside ongoing professional development through further training and workshops.

In addition to my clinical work, I bring professional experience from my role in a large corporate environment (TotalEnergies), where I have worked closely with individuals and teams managing complex situations, high-pressure environments, communication challenges, and emotional stress. This background gives me a grounded understanding of workplace pressures, leadership dynamics, and the impact of organisational life on mental health.

My work integrates psychosynthesis, humanistic, and transpersonal approaches, allowing me to tailor therapy to each person’s unique experience.

I offer both short-term focused therapy and longer-term psychotherapy, depending on your needs and what you are hoping to explore.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Finding the right therapist is important, and it’s completely okay to take your time with that decision. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, understood, and able to bring what’s really going on for you.

I offer an initial space where you can ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and decide whether this feels like the right fit for you—there’s no pressure to commit beyond that.

Sessions are available in person in Haywards Heath / Brighton/ West and East Sussex or online across the UK, offering flexibility depending on your needs and circumstances.

Alongside my clinical training, my background in both yoga and the corporate environment means I understand the impact of stress not only emotionally, but also physically and in day-to-day life. Whether you are dealing with workplace pressure, relationship challenges, or a more general sense of feeling stuck, therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and move forward more consciously.

I work with both short-term counselling (focused on a particular issue) and longer-term psychotherapy, where there is space to explore more deeply over time.

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, or if you have any questions, you’re very welcome to reach out—taking that first step is often the hardest part.

Sessions are £60 for 50 minutes.
