About me
Maybe you’ve been holding things together for a long time, but lately it’s becoming harder. You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted; find yourself overthinking everything; or feel stuck in patterns you don’t know how to change. Perhaps you’re struggling in your relationships, doubting yourself, feeling lonely or disconnected, or carrying things on your own while appearing okay to everyone around you.
I support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, grief and loss, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life changes, addiction and recovery. I also work with university students who may be struggling with academic pressure, anxiety, relationships, identity, independence or uncertainty about the future.
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting, whether you are seeking support for the first time, navigating a difficult period in your life, or continuing your journey after rehabilitation. No matter what has led you here, you do not have to face it alone. I am here to walk the path alongside you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, Counselling and Therapies (Level 6). I am an Accredited Registrant with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am also a member of Addiction Professionals, reflecting my ongoing commitment to professional development and best practice in the addiction and recovery field.
Addiction, Recovery and Life After Rehab
Alongside my private practice, I work therapeutically within a residential rehabilitation setting, supporting people through addiction treatment, emotional difficulties and the 12-Step process. I understand that recovery doesn’t simply end when rehab does. You may have completed treatment, stopped drinking or using, started attending meetings or built a period of sobriety, yet still feel that something isn’t quite right. Without alcohol or drugs, difficult emotions, relationship patterns, past experiences, loneliness, low self-worth or questions about who you are in sobriety and what comes next can begin to surface.
Therapy can provide a space to explore these experiences and begin building a life that is not only about staying away from alcohol or drugs, but also about relationships, wellbeing, confidence, identity, purpose and what matters to you. I can also offer therapeutic support alongside AA, CA, NA and 12-Step recovery.
You can also visit my website to learn more about how I work, my counselling services, Life After Rehab support, fees and frequently asked questions, and to get a better sense of who I am before deciding whether you would like to get in touch.
