Colin Campbell-Dunlop BSc (Hons), Dip Couns, Registered MBACP
I am a counsellor/psychotherapist and I trained within the NHS and I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from a BACP accredited college. Please get in touch by phone or email. I also hold degrees in both Social Science and Law, and have run my own business in the City of London for over 20 years. I am registered with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), the largest professional body for counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK. My practice complies with the BACP’s stringent ethical and professional guidelines. I have full DBS (CRB) certification, professional indemnity insurance and clinical supervision.
I have practices in Farningham and Westerham in Kent convenient for North, central and West Kent. In addition to my private practice I also work for a counselling service in Bromley and and also provide workplace counselling for a number of different organisations. I am a registered provider with Health insurers AXA PPP, Simply Health, Cigna, WPA, Vitality Health, Aviva and Aetna Global Benefits. If you have cover with either of these organisations your therapy costs may be met by your insurer. I also receive client referrals from Corporate Occupational Health departments and consultancies.
I offer a telephone assessment session free of charge for new/prospective clients. Please contact me to discuss.
I see clients (individuals and couples) with a broad range of presenting issues including:
- Panic attacks
- Generalised anxiety disorder
- Relationship difficulties
- Family issues
- Esteem issues and trauma amongst others (see below).
I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental and empathic environment, within which clients can start to build a deeper understanding of themselves and gain insight into their problems. I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is a key to successful outcomes in therapy.
The Integrative approach to which I subscribe, allows me to work in a blended, person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive/CBT way. I feel this way of working greatly benefits my clients and can be 'tailor made' to suit you and the problems you may be experiencing in life. I am more than happy to discuss this with you and to answer any questions you may have. Please contact me for a free initial consultation and assessment by phone or Skype.
