About me

I work with individuals who would like space to reflect on their experiences, including trauma, loss, addiction, and other life challenges. Some come with a clear focus; others are less certain but feel that something would benefit from careful attention. Therapy can offer a steady, confidential relationship in which experiences can be explored thoughtfully, patterns understood more clearly, and meaning developed over time.

My approach is relational and grounded in person-centred principles. I offer a consistent and confidential space, working collaboratively and at a pace that feels right for you. Alongside my clinical training, my work within substance use services has deepened my understanding of complexity, recovery, and the importance of compassion and safety.

If you are considering therapy and would like to explore whether working together might be helpful, you are welcome to get in touch. I offer in-person therapy and online and I have availability most of weekdays and in the evenings, working at a pace that feels right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a BSc in Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling, as well as an MSc in Counselling and Positive Psychology. My academic training has provided a strong foundation in psychological theory, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and client-centred practice.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I adhere to their ethical framework to ensure safe, professional, and confidential practice.

I have completed over 150 hours of supervised clinical practice, working with a diverse range of clients and presenting issues. This experience has supported the development of my skills in building therapeutic relationships, assessment, and delivering effective, compassionate care.

In addition, I volunteered with Change Grow Live (CGL), where I supported individuals facing a variety of challenges, further enhancing my practical experience in a real-world setting.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
